Still dreaming
No matter how much of the world I see, the list of places I want to explore somehow keeps getting longer. A few currently near the top:
My story
Growing up in Hungary, travel was a distant dream. My family didn't have the means to venture beyond our borders, so I spent my childhood imagining the places I saw in books and films. At 17, I left my country for the first time to visit Italy. By 22, I was boarding my very first flight — an experience that opened my eyes to the world's endless possibilities.
Since then, I've been on a mission to explore as much of the world as I can. I stretched my student budget to its limits, then juggled trips around my early career. Ever since, travel has always been a priority.
Today, I've been to 59 countries, taken 401 flights and spent more than 1000 hours in the air. I'm still planning the next adventure.
My passion for meticulously crafting each trip has turned into something I want to share. After hours of research for every destination, I hope my travel guides help you discover incredible places and make the practical side of planning them a little easier.
Travel with context
I'm the kind of traveller who genuinely enjoys the planning almost as much as the trip itself. Before I go somewhere, I spend hours researching routes, neighbourhoods, transport, viewpoints and the places that are actually worth fitting into an itinerary.
I travel independently and tend to pack a lot into my trips. I love the famous places that live up to the hype, but I'm always looking for the lesser-known stop, unusual route or unexpected experience that makes a journey memorable.
Travelisse is where I turn all of that research and first-hand experience into practical guides. The goal is simple: help you spend less time figuring out the logistics and more time experiencing the destination.
